January 13, 2015 - Nemesis Arms Announces Relocation to Edmonson County, Kentucky

Nemesis Arms, a leader in precision firearms, announced today the relocation of their operations from California to Edmonson County, Kentucky.  Soon to be located in the Edmonson County Industrial Park, Nemesis Arms will bring production of their innovative firearms to South Central Kentucky.

"The Nemesis Team is incredibly excited to be writing this next chapter of our story," says David Ives, President and Owner. "We have always felt that our ability to grow and continue to innovate was limited by the social and political dynamic of the State of California. When we were approached by Julie Sapp and Maureen Carpenter from the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce, we had a gut feeling that we had found a new home that was far more in line with our vision. The Chamber introduced us to Judge N. E. Reed, who tirelessly brokered the deal and made it all possible. We can't thank them enough." Kathleen Ives, wife and Co-owner added, "We can hardly wait to get our equipment and our family settled in Kentucky. Our customers are also very excited about the move and are looking forward to the new products that will emerge from the Bowling Green facility."

Nemesis Arms began their operations in Calimesa, California in 2007, and quickly established themselves as innovators in rifle systems with a broad range of adjustability.  Foreseeing the growth that was on the horizon, Nemesis began looking for a new home and found it in a 10,000 square foot facility, near the Rockcastle Shooting Complex.“The relocation of Nemesis Arms to Edmonson County will create new jobs and new opportunities for our community. This company has been a leader in their industry, and we are excited about the diversification this operation will bring to our manufacturing base in South Central Kentucky,” said Judge Executive N.E. Reed.

Nemesis Arms provides a distinctive product to the firearms industry.  In fact, a key feature of their product is ambidextrous firing – the bolt can be easily adjusted to allow for use by both left- and right-handed shooters. With its unique features, the Nemesis Arms product has become a favorite of sportsmen, military and law enforcement.  Additionally, its appearance and popularity has earned the product screen time in movies and television series such as the Bourne Legacy, Savages, Charlie’s Angels, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hawaii Five-O.

'As a region, we are proud to welcome Nemesis Arms to Edmonson County.  The combined efforts of economic development organizations in South Central Kentucky demonstrates why regionalism is one of the greatest assets we have,” stated Ron Bunch, President & CEO, Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce.
